Hotel Cancellation Policy

Rules, timelines, and refund slabs for hotel reservations with Vacation India Online.

We recommend checking the booking status (i.e. Refundable or Non-Refundable) before purchasing hotels, which is easily available under the “BOOKING STATUS/RULES” section in the hotels search result page.

Non-Refundable Hotel Bookings

If a hotel booking status is non-refundable, then under no circumstances will any refund be provided to the traveller. The traveller is also not eligible to claim refunds for unused taxes or early check-outs.
In case of any booking schedule changes or forced hotel closures, it will solely be the decision of the VIO admin/hotel supplier whether they will provide a refund (partial/full) or alternative booking dates.
In case of refund approval, vacationindiaonline.com may charge a convenience fee calculated as a certain percentage of the invoice value, or depending upon the booking situation.

Refundable Hotel Bookings & Timelines

Cancellation Refund Slabs:

30 days or more prior to the date of check-in: Free cancellation (100% refund).
15 to 29 days prior to the date of check-in: Charged 25% of the total booking bill.
8 to 14 days prior to the date of check-in: Charged 50% of the total booking bill.
7 days or less prior to the date of check-in: Charged 100% of the total booking bill (no refund).
No-Show: In case of a no-show, 100% cancellation charges apply and no refund will be provided.

Cancellation Procedure & Processing:

Cancellation requests through VIO Admin by payment gateway or Bank Transfer (DBT) must be made at least 5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) prior to check-in to cancel the hotel reservation.
The customer needs to contact us over the phone and share an email requesting the cancellation, mentioning the cancellation reason (optional). VIO Admin may review and process exceptions for documented medical cases.
Our backend team will check the cancellation rules with the hotel booking supplier and notify you of the final charges before proceeding.
Refund Credits: Approved refunds will be initiated in the same account from where the payment was made within 20 days from the cancellation date after deducting the applicable charges.
